Relaxed, Authentic Wedding Photography in the South of France

Hello and welcome to my website! I'm a British photographer living in the South of France. My imagery is all about capturing what is fun, natural, and beautiful. I photograph both English and French weddings across the south of France including the area around Bordeaux, Dordogne, Gironde, and the Lot.

I have an unobtrusive photojournalistic style which means minimal interference for couples on their wedding day and imagery that is never clichéd, heavy, or forced. The results are beautifully rendered photographic narratives that all generations will love connecting with, exploring, and displaying in their home. Timelessness, authenticity, and longevity are vital characteristics of my work and one of the founding principles behind my creative style.

Documentary style that's natural and spontaneous

My experience and friendly, easy-going relationships with clients allow me to create amazing results remarkably quickly. I never force people’s behaviour to fit my vision and instead give people the space and freedom to laugh, have fun, and be themselves during photo-shoots.

No awkward posing during couple photography sessions

The experience of working with me is reflected in the feel of my imagery: authentic images that resonate with real sentiment. Couple shoots can be done between 10 and 25 minutes, meaning they can be organised without being too disruptive on people’s time-tables.

Comprehensive Coverage

A photographer is usually just one of many artists that contribute to a wedding, and I’m always eager to capture the creativity of everyone involved. I rigorously and carefully apply all my expertise and attention to each part of the day – from wide angle or aerial imagery of exteriors to tight, close-ups of details and finishing touches that bring image collections to life.

This ensures image deliveries are filled with a huge variety of imagery capturing everything from many angles: faces, places, flowers, food, colours, textures, and details.

The artistic flair and creations of every supplier involved are expertly captured to create a comprehensive image collection that reflects the creativity and thought that’s gone into your day.

Client-led Creativity

Every client is enormously valued and l listen carefully to everyone’s preferences, anxieties, and tastes to ensure I bring their creative vision to life. Communication is a vital part of creating amazing wedding photography because I understand that every client’s wishes and every event will have different challenges and opportunities.

I take a holistic approach to photography, which means taking every step possible to make sure clients receive the best results. This can mean giving feedback and advice on a huge range of things to improve their day prior to the day itself; this can mean discussing a couple’s schedule, their posture, their body language, and discussing the importance of factors like music in creating an ambiance that can be reflected in wedding imagery.

A significant part of getting amazing results is ensuring couples feel relaxed, assured, and confident on the day of their wedding. A significant part of this is organisation. When clients know that I understand them, their expectations, and their preferences they will be more relaxed and they can focus on simply being in the moment. I am happy to take the time to talk with clients as much as is necessary, and often we explore images or mood-boards together so I understand the aspects of their wedding imagery that is most important to them.

Often couples have ‘shot lists’, or want to re-create images they’ve seen online and I love the creative challenge of re-creating existing beautiful images and the delight clients feel when it’s they see themselves in images they love.

Professional, transparent, and easy-going

I offer personalised, detailed, and simple wedding photography contracts designed to offer peace of mind and help with make wedding organisation easier. A key feature is flexibility in being able to update the contract with detailed specifics or deliverables much closer to the event. This means contracts can be signed, dates saved, and deposits paid now, for example, and the schedule for the day itself be added in the days and weeks before the event. Typically, for a day’s coverage, there is a deposit of 300 Euros.

A proposal on the French Riviera
21 March 2025
I just had to share these photos of a surprise proposal on Cap Ferrat on a day when, literally until the last minute, it was raining heavily. As the couple made their way down the winding path with their umbrella up, my camera bag sealed shut inside a waterproof bag, it was a bizarre situation to find myself in; photographing a proposal in such awful conditions. The couple had travelled half way around this world to be here, I'd been in communication with the client for months, and it was all leading up to this moment: it was their last night here and rain or shine it was now or never to pop the question. Then something amazing happened; both rain and shine at once. The sun was so low in the sky it suddenly shot through underneath the clouds and hit the grey landscape - lighting it perfectly. Despite being dragged out in such awful conditions, the proposal itself was a complete surprise and led to some amazing imagery. And then yes, during a photoshoot about 10 minutes later a rainbow appeared and the complete reversal of fortunes was complete. I was so excited for them and full of admiration on his insistence that it WAS going to happen, come what May - and what a reward; I'll probably never see anything like it again.

Nestled in the Warwickshire countryside, Ettington Park is one of the finest country-house wedding venues in the country. It's a genuine architectural marvel built in the Neo Gothic style which flourished in Victorian England. Built between 1858 and 1862 it now serves as a hotel and luxury wedding venue.
